I've tried setting the boot order to include only the CD-ROM and attempting to boot to Recovery Console as suggested in a previous post, but the VM never reads the disc Parallels 6, build 11826, on a MacBook Pro with OSX 10.6.4 Win7 32bit was installed and working for several days. Perhaps this may indicate a change in fortune? Seems like a problem emulating the BIOS or something.

It's confusing even to advanced users since it's obvious when you're up and running that there is full support for large disks.

Sometimes it stops with the grey screen, sometimes it says "a disk read error occured" press ctrl alt delete to restart or something, power button only solution.
If you do, be sure to use the Boot Camp assistant to remove the partition. Now you can focus on the install. Anyway, something is very wrong with the boot process for windows xp. I`m having a lot of trouble trying to figure out what I`ve been doing wrong here.
