Canon Ixus 800 Memory Card Error
If I take a flash photo then more image appears, but it's still basically just a purple circle with a faint image in it and white surrounding it, again with faint Canon Europe. 2009-09-23. The camera works again! THE TAPE WORKED FOR US!!!! It will work fine at first but almost always corrupts when many pictures are taken. Worked like a charm. Please check to make sure that you didn't accidentally place the tiny locking slide switch on the side of your SD card in the "locked" downward position.

Would the card reader still help to retrieve the photos? As I was trying to save the pictures, It asked if I wanted the protection mode on, and I said yes, Now I dont know how to see my pics, cs By doing this fix, will I get more photos, or is this fix for those cameras that take no photos at all? /thanks Reply Will says: March 26, 2007 at 11:16 Memory Card Error Canon Off the wall brands are iffy at best.

Anyway, I had to take apart the whole camera to get in there and straighten out the pin, but when I put it all back together, it works great! Canon Ixus 145 Memory Card Canon was beginning to work SDHC compatible controllers into their products at that time and they actually did not know what would work and what wouldn't until 2007. I got a 4gb card but when I turn the camera on I get a "memory card error" and the format option is blanked out. Has anyone had this issue and what can I do? Memory Card Lock Broken Flash memory cards, such as SD cards which are most frequently used in Canon cameras, have a limited life span. My camera wont let me format in the camera.
If you're unable to do this, I recommend trying a second memory card.

Now, obviously the battery will be disconnected so it shouldn't happen but even so.. Tape did the trick. IXUS/ELPH/IXY cameras using CF storage The PowerShot Digital ELPH using CF have Sxxx model number. Written on the face of the card should be the word Class with a number, or a number circled with a capital "C".
