we tried the tooth pick trick and the gold part is not popping back out far enough. news Pretty new. Blondie,Did you try Fix #4? It turned out to be the card lock switch inside the camera on my Canon Ixus 100iS. When I go to properties, it says 0 bytes. Wow! Canon Ixus Memory Card Error Hello, earlier tiday I had posted a cmmentand now it's gone. For Nokia Users with MicroSD : Put the card in any E series mobile or N95 etc and format it.
Damn, my camera still has the "memory card locked" error even after all these steps....

And blamo! An unformatted card will initially work fine in a camera, but eventually will corrupt with time, especially after many files have been saved and deleted. It worked like a charm (used a tiny hard stick from a fruit tree had no toothpicks but couldn't wait) that made sense to me as I could hear it when Isola Verde Feb 15, 2006 My solution Norman L.

I had the CARD LOCKED problem, tried the tooth pick trick and it worked. please help! The problem with option 2 is that checked and followed the instructions in the manual for formatting the memory card.
