Lavonne,That sounds like an issue internal to the camera card slot. It worked fine, so I thought nothing of it. Also try reformatting the card again after doing the firmware update. Today's newer cameras take very high-resolution pictures, AND high-definition videos. Check This Out

I would insert the card into lab top and it would not read card. i tried to format the card like the manuel says in the troubleshooting section and Im unable to hightlight and select "format" in the menu dropdown.....from articles online this sounds like his comment is here I formated the card on my PC, afterwards the camera recognizes it as a memorycard and can format it without any problems. Fix 4A: The famous "tape" fix (sorry, I can't claim this one). Memory Card Error Card Locked The other glint's of gold that you may see at the far end of the slot are the reader's connectors (ignore those). Camera format did not work.
I tried many recovery software programs to recover the photos with no luck.
