Kept getting error 99 and when I re insert the battery it starts clicking on it's own whether turned on or not. but nothing has worked. Next proceed sequentially as instructed, but stop at step 5. I DID NOT drop the camera. #7 worked for me. The camera is working perfectly again. My camera lens is disconnected from the actual position. it is working again.

Very unhappy with quality of Ixus 80is photos. the motor is loud though, i then polished and oiled the zoom lens cases. Each time I tried to power up the camera I got "Lens Error, automatically shutting down - Restart Camera" - and it would turn off. They only seem to work for about 50% of lens errors, but they're worth a try.
