We knew that there wasn't much we could do to hurt the camera, since if our attempts failed, the camera was toast anyway. Anyone else out there have any success by applying a tiny bit of oil around the lens barrel? Guess I'll have to get a new one. The lens does not retract.The logo is still there but very hard to see as the screen seems to be dark but it is there and freezed.So switch back to OFF Fix #4: Place the camera flat on its back on a table, pointed at the ceiling. Trying this will be your decision. Good luck!
