Canon Elph Lens Error Restart Camera
Both displayed sense error messages.I was thinking of buying a new Canon but now both cameras work again after I tried all steps to step 11. luckily. Wish that I could give you some easy tips for fixing the error by opening the camera, but I'm afraid there is none. Bingo it suddenly started behaving although it was still convinced that the memory card was faulty even when I gave it a new one until I took out the battery and It had been in cupboard for years. Very cool! one of them worked, not sure which.

Dropped Canon Camera Lens Error well, by the 7th (10th?) time, I tried hitting it from the top right side, and, miraculously everything fell back into place. In fiddling with it, the outer ring came off. Other variations include blowing with a hair dryer in "no heat" setting, or sucking the gaps with a vacuum (careful with this one).

My wife will think I'm very clever, but you're the real genius! I feel that these modern ultra zooms are inherently poorly designed, and do not last anywhere close to a reasonable amount of cycles. Finally I started fooling around with buttons b/c like all electronics sometimes using combinations of buttons help clear the issue. this content Any suggestions??

Try grabbing and holding the smallest inner lens barrel at its furthest extended position, preventing it from returning to the camera.

Tried pushing multiple buttons on start, blowing air, new batteries, inserting paper between lenses, and vacuuming while starting. Mine was extended and wouldn't retract. Blowing with Dust-Off in and around the lens, and banging on the USB cured the problem. So, I pushed the lens down evenly with my thumbs, and wa la no more camera lens error.
I recently encountered a Lens error, reset camera with my Canon A630. wahoooooo!!! When I hit the power button, I noticed that the telescoping lens tried to adjust itself but got crooked. Canon lens error is usually reported as E18 error.
