Canon Error Code 5100 Mp460
Googled the 5100 error and found this site.Holding the resume button/power button as suggested did not work. even if there is no ink i should still be able to scan! It wasn’t too hard to configure manually with some help. Once strip has been cleaned, plug the devise back in and see if the error message has cleared. 6. check over here

turns out the the cartridge I replaced had a tiny imperfection that was keeping it from seating properly. Check VERY thoroughly. Click “Resume” for Four times Once you click “Power”, to confirm the selected action (reset counter absorber). I still think that it is a great printer with easy to fill cartridges, saving oodles of money. I [very carefully] unscrewed the (actual) printing head from the bottom of the inktank cartridge and carefully lifted it back. The printer actually survived with nothing more than a shattered fuser lamp and a couple of bent hinges.
