Delayed Write Error Lacie
Problem Info: Failed to read data from the disk. In our case it was a HD IBM Deskstar given this problem with MSI VIA chipset motherboard. For these past 2 weeks its been working fine. This leads me to believe that the write failure is due to a bug in windows, only because it is lacking in compliance with all the latest [dell] pcs which are get redirected here

This USB drive was working fine on my previous installation so I figured something new must have been installed. No drivers fixed up the problem. I assume this is due to a PCI device conflict with shared IRQ (currently all PCI devices have IRQ 11). I have confirmed that my USB ports work correctly. So if it fails, and it's out of warranty, you're out of luck! I recently got the problem on my slave drive which i move around large amounts of files all the time, i havent changed any hardware or software in a long time this page I for one have never had this problem with any pc in the past.

I now see Lacie as more of a hard drive packager than a hard drive manufacturer, and their support is abysmal. i have been wrestling wi this problem for the longest time. The drive will probably need to be removed and placed in another enclosure for it to be detected..
