I could not find the sponge you mention, but on the right end, I just put in my fingers to clean all the moving parts that could look like a sponge I have tried everything you have said well I would if I knew what the purge unit was? Solution:I followed BAB and briceg's advice after trying a lot on my own. The printer then prompted us to replace one ink cartridge that was 1/4 full, which we did and it is now functioning normally.Given that nothing appeared to be out of place, I can't even run nozzle checks or any other maintenance procedures. Sliding in back and forth is another temporary fix.
I have looked for the white purge unit to jiggle it but am unsure of where it is (to the right?). Never had any problem with that either (except for a tiny bit of ink sometimes tipping one corner of the photo). It isn't going to hurt anything if it overflows a little. I can't even turn the machine off since it says it is still in use. Log in om ongepaste content te melden. The second problem could be that the sheet feed unit itself needs to be cleaned or is damaged and needs to be replaced.
