My aging Canon PowerShot A510 had a stuck lens cover, so I did as advised and swept under it with a piece of paper. Log in om deze video toe te voegen aan een afspeellijst. Due to the common nature of this problem, it seems that Canon has dropped the numerical marking of this error in newer cameras, and is now using the term "lens error". The lens cover (metal ring and a few movable parts that close when the lens retract) of my Canon IXUS 80 fell off.

I found an Olympus E-10 camera,according to the web it was made in 2001 and was actually an excelent camera back in the day.

Turned the camera off - barrel retreated partially- pushed on it with increasing pressure- et voila - it eventually clicked back into place , and the lens cover closed properly.
Not only did you save me hundreds of dollars but also allowed me to continue capturing priceless moments on video of my family vacation!!

When I switched on the camera, the lens would extend almost to its fullest position and would the move in and out until coming to a partially closed position. Well there is no much hope. This fixed it but shortly afterwards it stuck again. Is there a download that will fix this? My Canon A510 lens cover was not fully opening (it would open 10% and the rest had to be opened with finger), although it was closing always 100% sure.

Thanks again! Not only were the printing costs prohibitive but it died a couple of weaks after expiry of warranty.
