With a plastic toothpick, or other skinny NON-METALLIC item, tap and gently push against this switch to see if you can jar open the contact to its normal unlocked position. So I brought it back home and put it in the camera and it says "no card". You´re cool man, thanks for share your knowledge. I would insert the card into lab top and it would not read card. OK one thing that's a red flag... click site It did for me. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. I couldn't recover my files, but now I have another problem; when I insert my memory card in my camera,it shows "no memory card", however, my pc recognize that card.I've tried If I push it down manually and close cover, camera will not read the SD reader and only uses internal memory of camera. Formatting the card in the camera will correct both these problems, BUT it will also erase all photos on the card. Use canned air for this to blast out dirt. In order to format the card, follow these instructions. The previous card was used to copy pictures from another computer and transferred to my computer. what do you think the problem is?
Wow! I can't seem to get the card recognised that it even exists. A card can also corrupt if camera power is interrupted during the write process (such as changing batteries or batteries dying while the card is still writing the last picture taken). Camera to use for product photography?
