FinePix A500: had this solution, tried everything. I tried gently pushing the lens back in to no avail. Again, the goal is to attempt to straighten or align the barrel if it's crooked or twisted. I had only used it twice.

Lens errors are fairly common. Yay, I heard a click!! We tried them all and ended up taking a few screws out and then oiling around the lens with sewing machine or hair clipper oil. Canon Powershot Lens Error Cancel Add your answer pragathi will be eternally grateful.
There was an obvious click and slight realignment of the lens as it dropped back into place. it broke at the end of a linkin park concert, but im so happy i got fantastic pics off the memory card :)guess i better get a new camera now lol From which squares does a Tower Shield provide Total Cover? check my blog I had to switch to video prior to tuning it off a few times before the lens reset.
