Brother Mfc 8860dn Fuser Error
Obviously check the toner or drum first. Maybe not - because of the lack of noise on startup. These gears are not available, and the entire gear assembly on the side of the machine has to be replaced. You get what you pay for. Is there any difference at all in the 2 copies? his comment is here
I've tried sourcing Agson.com unsuccessfully using all combinations of LJ7416001 - HR GEAR 34, but it doesn't seem to have it. I'm trying to see if the ring can be glued together somehow - or if this part can be ordered. by unknown on Dec 15, 2010 at 12:45pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I ran a sheet of paper through this printer that was hole punched to go and teh error message just says fuser open.

Without hearing it, hard to say where the noise is emanating from. And any online store sells it, rather than entire fuesr ass'y kit?I am also considering to get a non-working MFC to swarp the fuser frame or the fuser. But then I got the "Please Open Cover" message that won't go away. Also makes the noise during startup so I can open the back and see the fuser while it is making the noise.
THank first. It started when I got a paper jam message, but found no paper jam. It happens with regular printing and with copying as well. Easiest thing is to turn the music up and live with it. this content When changing your image drum you may want to return to more costly OEM toner too. The repair was not terribly difficult, but it was also not very easy and not very straightforward, since this was the first, and hopefully the only time I will ever need and pull the fuser out and check it would be my suggestion. Respond to this 1 Just a couple of thoughts for the DIY guys:To reset a fuser error, you don't have to do a reset in the maintenance mode. I found a cheaper place, but don't want to buy it until I know how to get the old one out. by arlindsey on Dec 2, 2008 at 8:28pm Add comment Please sign in to comment To: A R Lindsey,If you have HR GEAR 34 part # LJ7416001 I'll buy it and weblink So I concluded that the lense of its laser unit needs to be cleaned.

Not sure where you are at but I may have a used one I would have to check in storage. I've sold several machines and the only one to break has been with a guy who used aftermarket toner as soon as his starter toner ran out. If it did not you may have a bad fuser or all connectors to the fuser are not connected or are bad or you may have a bad logic or power I've seen it happen about 50 times with generic toners installed. If these models are treated well, I've seen them last for years.
by unknown on Jan 20, 2008 at 12:22pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 We had a similar problem.Installed new toner cartridge (....ok it was a reman).. Turned it back on and it comes up with the error. Remove one screw that anchors that wire on just that one side). You will need to replace the fuser with a new one.
