I will not be out one more dime unless it is to purchase a new MFC from a company that will stand behind their products. We had an Error 41 while it was still under warranty and had to send it in (which means we were without a printer/copier/fax for about a... If so, pls. I am wondering if anyone would know if when Brother replaced the machines still under warranty if the refurbished or new machines were suppose to have a new designed printer head.
I then got error 41 in august 05. "Immediately unplug the printer and call brother" the display says! The first 2 times they sent a replacement and said the problem was fixed, wouldn't happen again. Unplugging / re-connecting works a few times for a couple of pages and then nothing. but now it errors as soon as i plug it in. unplug, print once, then error... I have to dig up my paper work from the machine I guess and get it from there. The printhead will come out by pressing down and on the spring clips each side of the head.I would like to know where to get a spare printhead so I can navigate here I finally decided to "call Brother" as the LCD panel suggested.

If you get "unable to print" on a 420CN, 210C, 5440CN, 620CN it's the same crap again!

I was stung with the error today and was angry over the fact that I have to bring my MFC 3820cn 62 Miles away for free repair which could take up Telling people it is the non original product is a scare tactic. To my knowledge no printer company can refuse to honour your warranty simply because you have not used their product, they must prove that is what caused the problem.

Had an error 41 about seven months after buying it, so they sent me a refurbished machine. But clearly the point is to have your printer fail as soon as possible after the warranty expires.
