If you get 0 ohms and that pin is not tied to gnd, then that gate is shorted. I still have all the partitions with the ( WINDOWS RE), (SONYSYS), (RECOVERY) files inside them. There is not a whole lot of repair information on system 9 MPUs out there because they are so similar to System 11 boards, so it makes debugging them a bit Ubuntu 12.04.2 (LTS) and Ubuntu 12.10 are compatible with systems using UEFI firmware with Secure Boot enabled. http://krokmel.com/boot-error/dell-boot-from-usb-boot-error.php

As a result, the device gets presented to the system as a basic disk - DISK.SYS clients will have no idea as to whether they are actually dealing with the hard
We are talking here about the Hitachi Microdrive Filter Driver, not about an actual Hitachi (or other brand) Microdrive:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microdrivejaclaz
 piotrania Am I missing something? I'm using Ubuntu now as i installed 12.10 onto a usb with unetbootin. When I boot with the CD I get:EDD: Error 0100 reading sector 180 122Initial menu has no LABEL entires!boot:I tried burning the iso on 2 cd's now. Then i reinstalled 12.10 using a usb drive. Probably changes were made when I created partitons on my test-USB stick using Acronis DS.
From that I did not take it that you installed 12.10 on the hdd. This will keep the reset line low, and hence the blanking signal should also be low. I don't know how I missed this because I swear I checked it before, but R2 was bad. Since you removed Hitachi microdrive driver from the game, it should not play any role as well. Some BIOS-es have hard time reading beyond certain boundary at boot time and boot loaders

As long as you have confirmed your CPU is working (with the test rom pulled), with Leon's test rom in place: "pins 2, 6 and 40, which have to be positive Bad PIAs can also cause boot issues though, which is why Leon's test rom is helpful if swapping out logic doesn't solve your issue. 1 week 000 #9 1 year ago
It was OK for my computer too until I installed Hitachi Microdrive.I guess (I’am not sure) that during installation of Hitachi Microdrive drive filter some changes were made in MBR on It started up fine but when i chose the option to install them side by side when installing the dual-boot this is when the problems started. Then check the 555 timer and associated components as well. 000 #16 1 year ago ARS thedefog Pinside member 3y 63k 5,388 2 61 Read this thread too, may help: FOLLOW US Twitter Facebook Google+ RSS Feed Disclaimer: Most of the pages on the internet include affiliate links, including some on this site.
